Unexpected overnight repairs.

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9997526.

This particular section of road is being resurfaced again. There is no sign of damage but it’s a very regular occurrence. At 21:00 this evening a crew arrived & commenced work. This was unannounced & causing disturbance & inconvenience to residents. The simple courtesy of some prior warning (a letter, a call or a sign on the road) might have prevented this. The children could have been moved from front facing bedrooms & allowed to sleep. This is happening with increasing regularity. Please could someone explain the repetitive need for this work?

    I'm sorry to hear of the disturbance caused while our service partners were carrying out essential maintenance to keep our network in a safe and serviceable condition.
