No Fence!

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9986645.

The hedge at the edge of the road on a sharp bend has fallen down a very steep embankment and the only barrier is a collection of traffic cones and a length of plastic tape. It has been like that for over a year. I have reported it before. The road is regularly closed at night for resurfacing, tree trimming etc. but nothing has ever been done to erect any kind of barrier. The road is very busy, not adequate for the very heavy traffic it carries and the site of regular accidents.

    A vehicle-activated sign has been installed to warn drivers of the sharp bend and encourage them to reduce their speed. There're also average speed cameras in place to help ensure drivers comply with the 50mph speed limit.
