Flowering Orchids mowed off

14 July Description: I saw loads of common spotted orchids on the grass verge near J43. The next day they had all been mown. The same thing happened at this place earlier in the year when cuckoo flower were in bloom. Could these areas be marked not to mow until later in the year? It's not a place where visibility is important for traffic. I have reported this to Cumberland Highways and they say this is your responsibility.
