Timing/sequencing incorrect

The minor traffic volume route from the Romsey direction is being given more green time than the majority traffic volume route coming from Southampton and the M27 Eastbound exit slip road. Traffic from the M27 eastbound exit slip road cannot flow onto the M271 southbound as the junction in completely congested with incorrectly sequenced traffic

This problem is causing severe delays for Northbound M271 traffic and causing unnecessary traffic on the M27 Jct 3 Westbound off slip. It was an issue for most of last week and was compounded by additional traffic today due to A31 closures. It should be given more of a priority due to the busy nature of the junction and the delays it is causing for goods leaving Southampton docks.
