Man hole cover is broken

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9843214.

There is a man hole cover on the pavement located directly opposite Grendon chip shop which is damaged. Cover is a steel cross structure that has concrete infill. A piece of concrete is broken through creating a hole straight through to the man hole beneath. Man hole cover is labelled “post office telephone”. Damage occurred approximately 3 weeks ago and Is creating a big trip hazard! Concerned somebody could put their foot through it.

    If any work is needed, they will arrange for this to happen. Should no immediate work be required we will continue to monitor this during our regular inspections.

    Although we always aim to complete repairs as quickly as possible, timescales do vary as we try to minimise disruption to customers by combining activities into single closures and always ensuring the safety of our people.
