Dead fallen tree leaning towards roadway supported by live tree

Tree has fallen onto a live tree, appears to be several branches or trunks supported. Unable to tell if this will fall onto roadway exactly, but leaning that way. High winds may result in tree falling.

    Our inspector visited the location on 28 July 2026 and identified a large dead tree situated approximately 20 feet beyond our boundary fence. The tree is leaning against another tree, which is also located on the opposite side of the fence.

    As both trees are located well outside of National Highways' boundary, we will not be carrying out any work in relation to them. Responsibility for these trees rests with the landowner on whose land they are situated, and any necessary felling or maintenance would need to be arranged by them.
