Cars blocking pavement have to walk in traffic

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9794069.

Why are vehicles allowed to block the footpath here. I realise people need to park, but at least leave enough room so that people don't have to walk on the busy highway. This is a recurring problem. Maybe painted markings are needed to remind people to leave a gap? FixMyStreet ref: 9760624
