Access to residential nursing home

Reported via desktop in the Other Disability Access Issue (NH) category anonymously at 16:59, Monday 13 July 2026

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9779749.

Over the past 18-months there have been 7 accidents outside of our driveway, some including my staff and there have been several more near misses.

We require signage alerting drivers to our access and the vulnerability of those living at Eltisley Manor.

We would also request the average speed cameras currently along the A428 for the ongoing improvement works be continued past our access to ensure drivers are at 40mph maximum.

We also currently have no public transport links and we are hoping when the Black Cat to Caxton works are completed you may use some funds to incorporate a bus stop and pedestrian pavement along the A428 to improve our access to St. Neots etc.

As a nursing service we have responded to all traffic accidents, administered emergency first aid, contacted emergency services and directed traffic until emergency services arrive.

We keep a record of these accidents as well.
