Vegetation overgrowing the Cycle Path

Reported via desktop in the Overgrown or obscuring view (NH) category anonymously at 09:42, Saturday 11 July 2026

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9768996.

Grasses, plants and weeds are preventing visibility and making it awkward to cycle along the length of the cycle path between the Low Hutton Junction and Musley Bank. This is NOT the responsibility of Huttons Ambo Parish Council. I state this, because we have had a parishioner make the request because they have been told this by someone from National Highways.

Updates

  • Thank you for making your report. We’ve raised a job for our maintenance team to cut back overgrown vegetation that’s obscuring the view on cycle track.

Although we always aim to complete repairs as quickly as possible, timescales do vary as we try to minimise disruption to customers by combining activities into single closures and always ensuring the safety of our people.

    Kind regards National Highways
