Over Grown Hedges
Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9755364.
There is a huge green hedge/tree that runs for about 20m that is growing over the pavement. this makes it nearly impossible for people to walk along the pavement, so you end up walking into the road which is dangerous because of speeding vehicles.
It has been like this for 2 months now and only getting worse.

Dear Customer Services,Thank you for your email regarding report CSC848400322.I am writing to ask if you would kindly reconsider your decision.The vegetation growing from the land behind my property is now hanging a considerable distance over my garden wall. As you can see from the attached photographs, it has become very overgrown over a number of years and is now affecting my garden.I am 86 years old, approximately 5 feet tall, and I have mobility problems. I rely on a walking stick and I am physically unable to cut back or manage this vegetation myself. It would not be safe for me to attempt to do so.I appreciate that you may not consider this to be a highway safety issue, but the vegetation originates from the land beyond my boundary and is now encroaching onto my property. As a disabled and elderly resident, I feel this places me at a significant disadvantage.I would therefore be grateful if the matter could be reviewed and a further site inspection undertaken. If Nottinghamshire County Council is not responsible for maintaining the land and vegetation behind my property, I would appreciate it if you could advise me who is responsible so that I can contact the appropriate organisation.Thank you for taking the time to reconsider my request. If any work is needed, they will arrange for this to happen. Should no immediate work be required we will continue to monitor this during our regular inspections.
Although we always aim to complete repairs as quickly as possible, timescales do vary as we try to minimise disruption to customers by combining activities into single closures and always ensuring the safety of our people.
