Faded white lines

Reported via mobile in the Faded / Hard to see (NH) category anonymously at 12:47, Wednesday 8 July 2026

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9753920.

The white lane markings approaching and on the A43 roundabout have completely faded, causing dangerous driving and near misses. On the Wappenham approach, drivers meant for Towcester are using the A43 southbound-only lane and cutting across onto the roundabout. For right turns onto the A43 southbound, drivers in the outer of two lanes are pulling straight into the inner lane at the lights, cutting up other traffic. There are three lanes marked for southbound traffic on the roundabout itself after the second exit, drivers are now creating a fourth due to the missing lines. This is causing frequent near misses and I believe it is only a matter of time before a serious accident occurs.
