Growth blocking junction -Very dangerous

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9749497.

Junction of cycle path and Ranscombe Lane. Obsured view for vehicle approaching A27 from Ranscombe Lane, has been getting worse over several years. Near miss collition with cyclist this morning 9AM. Hedge so overgrown that drivers cannot see approaching path users coming up from Bedingham. ESCC Highways No: HED006390. Hedge needs cutting back and height reducing to less than 1.5 metres. This is very urgent as loss of life possible. Land owner known, please contact me for details. Please liaise with ESCC Highways for traffic management. Please try to effect the clearance with haste before there is a loss of life. Thank you for you urgent help with this matter. Thank it is very very DANGEROUS HERE!!!!!

    Our inspector has subsequently raised a works order for attendance within 24 hours to cut back vegetation to waist height & restore sign visibility.
