Large potholes on A66 when it goes down to one lane

When it goes down to one lane on the A66 there are 3-4 big deep potholes which are likely to damage cars

    We can confirm that we’re aware of the surface defects at this location. We are currently in the process of instructing our maintenance contractor to attend the site and carry out these repairs. Due to the location, the traffic management can be challenging and may require several weeks to plan.

    In the meantime, our inspection team patrols this route regularly. Should any defects become safety critical, they will be made safe using temporary material until the permanent repair can be completed.
