Issues of road subsidence on the A34 bridge over Peartree, particularly northbound.

All reports here of the same issue over months and months seem to have been closed, although the issue is not fixed. It also makes it impossible to update a report, as they’re closed, they cannot be updated. Reports I can find: 8761357, 9564937, 8942576, 8980346, 9058439, 8761357, 8942616, 9009956. All updates from National Highways just read that ‘We can confirm that we are aware of the issue you are reporting. We will ensure your report is actioned by the relevant team.’ Is it actually scheduled to be fixed please? This is only worsening and will eventually cause an accident.

This is a long standing issue, and causes very noticeable harsh braking from arctic lorries as the entire lorry wobbles violently from side to side. Driving at night when it’s quieter, I’ve seen buses who presumably drive the road often, come out into the second lane when there is no traffic - evidently to avoid the most violent dips in the road. The dips are on both side of the road, but worst in the left of the two lanes driving northbound. In recent weeks it seems that this is vaguely acknowledged, as new road signs have been put up - the triangle with a white background, red edge, and the black symbol of a hump in the road. This doesn’t fix the problem, it’s unavoidable, and worsening.

There are many visible marks in the road where it’s happening that appear to be tyre marks - presumably where lorries are bouncing so harshly that their spare recessed tyres that sit higher up are forced to scrape across the road.
