Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9589945.

Sign for Sandham memorial etc , adjacent to northbound carriageway of A34 before turnoff for Whitway, needs replacing I REPORTED THIS TO YOU A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO BUT YOU HAVE DONE NOTHING TO RESOLVE THE ISSUE !!??!!

Updates

  • Thank you for reporting this, and I’m sorry the sign is in such poor condition, especially as you’ve raised it before.

We’re aware that this tourist sign has reached the end of its serviceable life. However, there are currently no planned renewal works for tourist or directional signs on this section of the A34.

The replacement of tourist signs is handled through a specific process where the destination, in this case Sandham Memorial, would need to apply for renewal and meet the required criteria before new signage can be installed.

We’ve passed this on to the relevant team so they can begin that process where appropriate.

We’re sorry again for the inconvenience and appreciate you taking the time to report it.

    Kind regards National Highways
