Spilled debris / rubbish

Reported via mobile in the Main Carriageway (NH) category anonymously at 22:07, Monday 8 June 2026

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9584529.

On the M1 Southbound between junction 33 and junction 32 there is a large spillage of rubbish from a waste wagon on the verge and partially in the live lane 1 around here. It needs spot clean up crew to visit and clear as it’s a windblown danger to traffic. It involves large cardboard, other junk and large polystyrene pieces. Please get this debris cleared

We appreciate your concern. The reports from this site are not monitored on a 24/7 basis. Issues requiring urgent attention should be reported on 0300 123 5000 or if an emergency response is required 999.

We’ve had numerous patrols in the area today and cleared debris from live lane, anything from the verge will be cleared under planned cyclic works as they do not pose a safety issue.

    Kind regards
