Giant hogweed in flower

There is a couple of giant hogweed plants in flower in the central reservation. These are notifiable weeds which shouldn’t be allowed to spread and need dealing with before setting seed. These plants are dangerous if in contact with the skin causing phytosensitive burns should the public or contractor touch it with bare skin

    Our inspection team attended this location to assess the issue on 11 June 2026. Remedial work has been raised with our maintenance partners to treat the Hogweed as soon as it’s possible.

    Work to treat the location is expected to be completed within the next 7 working days.
