Overgrown vegetation impeding roadside bus stop - located along New Winch Rd coming out of Rye, towards Winchelsea, opposite stretch of houses on l/h side

Reported via desktop in the Pavement/footpath/cycleway/bridleway issue (NH) category by Rye Town Council at 08:59, Tuesday 2 June 2026

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9545284.

There are 2-3 bust stops located along New Winchelsea Road between the top of Harbour Road and the end of the stretch of houses (heading towards Winchelsea). There is no pavement so the bus stops are in the verge. They are very overgrown meaning little space to stand and wait for the bus on a dangerous stretch of road. Please can the vegetation around the bus stops be cut back.
