Road surface - severe deterioration - repair needed
Reported via desktop in the Road surface (NH) category anonymously at 16:32, Sunday 31 May 2026
Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9535760.
Further to a reply sent to me on 19/08/25 as follows: "Thank you for contacting National Highways. The local authority is responsible for maintenance issues of this nature on this road." The LA have advised (and provided a map) that this is not their adopted highway. I can supply a copy of this image if you can let me know how to do so via this reporting mechanism. My original report as follows: "Multiple potholes and surface deterioration There is extensive surface deterioration and multiple potholes on the small slip road that leads to Woodbank Lane, Woodbank from the fast Welsh Road / A5117. Residents who use this route have reported that it is dangerous owing to the speed of the road from which they are accessing it, the need to drive very slowly on accessing the short slip road and the consequent 'danger' from other road users who may be travelling at a much faster speed behind. Please can this be assessed and repaired ASAP."

Thank you for making your report. We have asked our inspection team to attend this location and assess the issue.
If any work is needed, they will arrange for this to happen. Should no immediate work be required we will continue to monitor this during our regular inspections.
Although we always aim to complete repairs as quickly as possible, timescales do vary as we try to minimise disruption to customers by combining activities into single closures and always ensuring the safety of our people.
Kind regards National Highways
