RE:Dead Deer

Reported via mobile in the Off the carriageway (NH) category anonymously at 15:27, Monday 18 May 2026

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9471244.

I had a response to say its very likely the deer will be left to naturally to take its cause however, behind the hedge are our gardens and we have dogs and so do my neighbours who would likely try to get through the hedge onto the A38 path due to the smell of the animal and the rotting smell. We have recently had an issue with rats in the area from the stream that runs behind that hedge which again a dead animal is going to likely bring rats back to our street and gardens. We have children who live there also and for there health and safety alone I think that needs to be looked into again. Also you have children walking to school via that path, and dog walkers. Please can you look into the removal of this dead deer due to concerns of the public health and residents of dolbeare road living behind that hedge. Thank you
