Road noise

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9460345.

I’m writing this at 5am, I’ve been awake since 4 with loud road noice from the nearby A1. The road surface between Eaton Socon and Southoe is mostly the old concrete type surface.

When driving on the road, it is really very noticeable when driving over the short patches that have been resurfaced with modern tarmac and therefore considerably more quiet.

Is there any method to get the road resurfaced to modern standards?
