No warning that the A34 northbound is closed

Reported via mobile in the Electronic Sign (NH) category anonymously at 23:09, Tuesday 12 May 2026

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9443632.

At 22:00 this evening heading northbound on the M3 from the M27 towards the A34, there was no signage to warn that the A34 was closed. I notice that it is displayed as a scheduled road closure on your website. Please can you suggest that the member of your team that controls what is displayed on the electronic screens, that have been installed at huge expense and inconvenience to the British taxpayer, that they might like to do something useful like use them to inform motorists of said scheduled main highway closures? A simple 'A34 Northbound closed' for a few miles at least would suffice. This is a main road north used by huge numbers of lorries from main ports, and this makes the UK look like a joke to anyone from Europe. Please step up your game
