Overgrown trees obscuring view around bends
Reported via mobile in the Overgrown or obscuring view (NH) category by Holly Turner at 12:45, Friday 1 May 2026
Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9385028.
I have been involved in an incident this morning with a car driving dangerously around the corner. He couldn't see i was on a horse and as I came into view he had to slam on his breaks and he skidded into the opposite lane.
Even slower driving still have trouble with these corners and theres lots of horse riders around these areas (there's not many road signs around my area to caution drivers about horses) despite the bridleways around. I would if this could be looked into also.
The trees are definitely obscuring the view for drivers and making this even more hazardous.
I have reported my incident to south yorkshire police and The British Horse Society because it jas really shaken me up.
The issue has been present for a long time/ years. Ive never seen any maintenance done around there.
