Extensive Japanese knotweed which needs eradicating.

Reported via mobile in the Overgrown or obscuring view (NH) category anonymously at 21:02, Thursday 30 April 2026

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9381904.

Japanese knotweeed is an invasive non-native species under schedule 9 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981.

This road verge has been heavily impacted with several stands of knotweed having become established and they are expanding. In one place it is starting to encroach onto the road. It is an offence to allow the plant to spread or to manage it inappropriately.
