Previous pothole repair is already failing

Reported via desktop in the Pothole (NH) category by Chris Woods at 13:31, Tuesday 28 April 2026

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9367227.

Large road surface breakdown, reported previously (FixMyStreet ref: 8831763). It looks like the broken-up carriageway was hurriedly patched with some coldmix however the actual holes/broken carriageway are still very uneven and the filler does not meet the same level as the road surface, resulting in further wear to vehicles. Potential for further potholes to open up seems quite high.

I think the whole damaged section of carriageway needs cutting away and properly resurfacing, as has been done in several other parts of the M60 stretch between J12 and Barton Viaduct. The damage being reported is in the wheel tracks of vehicles, including many HGVs which take this exit slip, so is wearing again quite quickly.
