Pedestrian crossing

Reported via desktop in the Pavement/footpath/cycleway/bridleway issue (NH) category anonymously at 21:33, Monday 27 April 2026

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9363925.

When the pedestrian light turns green to cross, they change to red after 5 seconds. Then you can be sitting there 5 minutes or more as you cannot tell when the lights on the slip road for traffic will turn green. The lights on the roundabout for traffic turn green and only 2 or 3 cars go across before the pedestrian ones turn red. I cycle this route daily and can get just about across before they change, yet a walker could still be in the middle of crossing and start to panic that the slip road lights will turn green for traffic on the slip road to go.
