Degraded pavement

Reported via mobile in the Pavement/footpath/cycleway/bridleway issue (NH) category anonymously at 05:37, Friday 24 April 2026

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9345794.

On the a52, inbound to Nottingham and near the bramcote roundabout the pavement changes next to the stop lights. We live nearby and our house started to shake when heavy vehicles pass at a relative high speed. This issue started a couple of years ago and got really bad when the road was degeaded and filled with potholes. As the road was repaired earlier this year, the issue disappeared. However, now the vibrations are back and we have noticed that some potholes strarted to appear in that part of the a52.

Updates

  • Thank you for making your report. We have asked our inspection team to attend this location and assess the issue.

If any work is needed, they will arrange for this to happen. Should no immediate work be required we will continue to monitor this during our regular inspections.

Although we always aim to complete repairs as quickly as possible, timescales do vary as we try to minimise disruption to customers by combining activities into single closures and always ensuring the safety of our people.
