White line markings for hard shoulder faded

Reported via mobile in the Faded / Hard to see (NH) category anonymously at 17:06, Friday 17 April 2026

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9311727.

The hard shoulder lane markings on junction 5 of the m65 westbound have faded. The slip road and the hard shoulder is difficult to identify and distinguish between the two. I have been caught out an issued 3 penalty points and a £767 fine for being in the hard shoulder by the police. Pease can you sort out and correct as I don't want other drivers to be caught out in the same way. Thank you for your attention into this matter.
