Numerous flags attached to a motorway bridge

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9305989.

At least five flags had just been attached to one of the bridges between junctions 23 and 24 of the M62 at around 1635 this afternoon (16/04/2026) with the individual concerned still on the bridge at this time. They appeared to be attached by small sticks to the edge of the bridge.

    We have passed this to one of our local inspectors to confirm that this is on our property. Safety is our priority and we do all we can to protect those who use our roads. Items such as flags attached to a bridge could pose a danger to motorists on the road below and so may need to be removed for safety reasons.
