Lanterns not changed to LED

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9247948.

This isn’t a complaint just a general question, the street lighting on the M2 has all been upgraded to LED in the last 6 months or so but there are a number of columns that have been missed out both on spreads and the main carriageway and have had red and white tape around the bottom. Just wondered why this is and will the lights on these columns eventually be replaced?

    We are aware of some columns for which the column needs replacing in addition to the lantern.

    We are exploring options on funding for this, it would not be safe to place the LED lanterns on these columns as they may not be able to handle the weight or the install process.

  • The interactive information board at junction 3 London bound has said 50 then 40 miles per hour then end near the bridge, for two days now, giving the reason of queue ahead. There is no queue!
