Significant amount of abandoned equipment on westbound slip roads

Reported via desktop in the Abandoned Materials (NH) category by Colin Rabjohn at 15:39, Sunday

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9242617.

Several A frames, at least 12 large cones, about 6 orange barriers and loads of sandbags. Mostly left from works on 26th February (The abandoned sign says so). We dragged a lot of stuff out of the hedgerows whilst litter picking. Be sure to look in the dip to the south of the junction with the A508 and the westbound off ramp.

Updates

  • Thank you for contacting National Highways regarding the redundant traffic management equipment. We will arrange for one of our local inspectors to investigate this. Where we have identified redundant equipment, this will be removed. However, in some cases we do leave items in place for future use. Some isolated cones may also be in place for a specific purpose that may not be clear to passing vehicles. Kind regards National Highways
