A1 South closed sign

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9239238.

The large fixed yellow sign just before the A1 Junction is showing as A1 South closed ahead. It has been left like this for months. Could this be removed to avoid misleading road users. Thank you

  • Thank you for contacting National Highways regarding the redundant traffic management equipment. We will arrange for one of our local inspectors to investigate this. Where we have identified redundant equipment, this will be removed. However, in some cases we do leave items in place for future use. Some isolated cones may also be in place for a specific purpose that may not be clear to passing vehicles. Kind regards National Highways
