Pothole

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9208543.

There is a pothole and debris in the fast lane which resulted in me popping my tyre.

  • Thank you for making your report. We have asked our inspection team to attend this location and assess the issue.

    If any work is needed, they will arrange for this to happen. Should no immediate work be required we will continue to monitor this during our regular inspections. Defects are risk assessed using criteria which includes checking the depth and location to ascertain if the defect is dangerous and requires repair. If any defects are identified that could be a risk to road users, these will be repaired within a time frame dependent on the risk. We aim to make any safety critical defects safe within 24 hours. Defects that are not deemed as a safety risk are monitored during our regular inspections. Although we always aim to complete repairs as quickly as possible, timescales do vary as we try to minimise disruption to customers by combining activities into single closures and always ensuring the safety of our people.
