Old road signs and cones

Unused road signs and cones that have been there for months. These are a hazard if someone was to come off the road. There are also unsightly and are a waste of taxpayers money when being left to rot away. Please make sure staff leave the area tidy when finishing work.

  • Thank you for contacting National Highways regarding the redundant traffic management equipment. We will arrange for one of our local inspectors to investigate this. Where we have identified redundant equipment, this will be removed. However, in some cases we do leave items in place for future use. Some isolated cones may also be in place for a specific purpose that may not be clear to passing vehicles. Kind regards National Highways
