Unsafe Crossing

Reported via desktop in the Pavement/footpath/cycleway/bridleway issue (NH) category anonymously at 10:10, Friday 27 March 2026

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9197032.

Safety concern rather than a maintenance issue. There is not a safe point of pedestrian crossing in the vicinity of this roundabout. There is foot-traffic between Sandy on one side of the A1, and the ASDA, Amici Coffee, and The Meadows across the roundabout. I have seen many unsafe crossings by pedestrians near the roundabout where motorists have limited visibility, high speeds, and high cognitive load. I am also aware of limited mobility and young people making this crossing. The crossing at Beeston is too far away to be practical. Please consider introduction of a safe crossing point before an incident occurs.
