Poor Pavement Conditions

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9157558.

The past month has seen a number of issues with grids and loosening of the road surface. This loose tarmac, stones and rubble have made their way onto the footpaths. I have once cleared the path, but it needs a full roadside sweeper as the job is too big. I asked the roadway maintenance team responsible for fixing the grid (20/03/2026 22:30pm). Unfortunately they stated they could not help, and so I have been told to log the issue here.

    If any work is needed, they will arrange for this to happen. Should no immediate work be required we will continue to monitor this during our regular inspections.

    Although we always aim to complete repairs as quickly as possible, timescales do vary as we try to minimise disruption to customers by combining activities into single closures and always ensuring the safety of our people.
