Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9146620.

You have been doing work on the A66 after the Eaglecliffe turn off to the airport turn off heading to Darlington and it looks like the sign for the 40mph have been left, because when heading in the opposite direction the signs have all been removed

Updates

  • Thank you for making your report. We've checked and can confirm we lifted the speed limit eastbound at the start of the month as we had completed the work on that side, but as we still had work on the westbound, this was kept at 40mph.

The speed limit was lifted by Thursday night, so all speed limit signs should have been removed.

Work completes next week so all traffic management equipment should be removed in the days after our last working shift. Any rogue signs left should be spotted and picked up.

    Kind regards

    National Highways
