Fence damaged and extra exposure from free felling

Reported via mobile in the Structures (eg bridges, fencing, noise barriers) (NH) category anonymously at 13:48, Wednesday 11 March 2026

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9087748.

Highways boundary fence is broken in several places and fallen in on our fencing. Meaning we can’t repair our fencing putting livestock at risk of escaping. Recent tree felling has also exposed the carriageway significantly meaning that with the fencing also broken there is not enough of a safe barrier between livestock and the road. Boundary fencing westbound on the Devon expressway about 200 metres before junction B3352 will need access from our property to see the damage and also to repair. Issue has been since the storms during the winter months and tree felling on the carriageway

If any work is needed, they'll arrange for this to happen. Should no immediate work be required we'll continue to monitor this during our regular inspections.
