Misleading speed limit signs

Reported via mobile in the Electronic Sign (NH) category anonymously at 07:01, Wednesday 11 March 2026

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9084529.

At this stretch of the M6 westbound near Corley services there is a 3-sign stretch where the speed limit is almost always stuck set at 50mph. This occurs even early in the morning (eg 6:20am today) when there is minimal traffic.

This is about 0.5 mile stretch and in my view causes a significant danger because the majority of road users ignore this limit. I follow it but find myself in a dangerous situation being undertaken by Lorries travelling at 70. This is clearly an error and must be rectified.
