Pothole on inside lane

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9082956.

Large pothole in lane 1 (inside lane) on the northbound carriageway of the M11 approaching the A120 / Junction 8 interchange. The defect is before marker post A 47.0.

Vehicle struck a pothole on 1 March 2026 while travelling in lane 1 before the junction. Due to the poor road surface the vehicle moved to the outside lane to avoid further damage. Shortly after passing the junction the tyre suffered a blowout caused by the earlier impact. The pothole presents a hazard to vehicles using the inside lane.
