Muddy path

Reported via desktop in the Pavement/footpath/cycleway/bridleway issue (NH) category anonymously at 16:25, Saturday 7 March 2026

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9064465.

With regards to your recent inspection it was carried out when weather had been dry , the problem occurs when it has been raining , becomes slippery and muddy , you end up walking on grass verge nearer traffic , which is also muddy , also graffiti on boards belong to highway agency not a housing estate as stated in email , if the inspector has seen graffiti he would have been aware of this , looking forward to your response, many thanks

Updates

  • Thank you for your further report.

Your continuing concerns have been shared with our inspector. They have no safety issues with its current condition with maintenance to be carried out within our cyclic vegetation maintenance programme from April. In the meantime they will continue to monitor the path during regular safety inspections when any safety critical issues will be raised for mitigation.

As previously advised while we're aware of the graffiti to the housing boarding, the boarding isn't our asset and responsibility for graffiti removal will lie with the owners who installed it.

    Kind regards
