Numerous abandoned signs and A frames

There are at least 20 abandoned A frames that support signs on the A14 eastbound between the A1 and Cambridge. Some even have signs saying diversion or a single sign saying reduced speed e.g. 600 yds Clearly these are left by contractors for many months and no action taken by highways to follow up. Please address this area as it’s one of the worst, even when compared to other areas. Nationally there must be thousands left for years. Hold your contractors accountable please. They are an eyesore

    We will arrange for one of our local inspectors to investigate this. Where we identify redundant equipment, this will be removed.

    However, in some cases we do leave items in place for future use.
