Street lights not on, M56, Jct 5

Reported via desktop in the Not working (NH) category anonymously at 17:33, Tuesday 3 March 2026

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9039621.

Street lights are not on, on the M56, Jct 5 Eastbound heading towards the airport. This is a safety issue. Firstly the road goes around a large bend, then you have traffic merging quickly onto the carriageway with little notice because you have just come out of the bend. Also you regularly get road users not accustomed to the roads because they are travelling to the airport and they are unsure of which lane to go in. So street lights need to be switched on to aid road user’s visibility and avoid any accidents.
