Significant overgrown brambles are growing down from the M66 motorway embankment into the carriageway at the Ferngrove Road underpass in Bury.
The vegetation is encroaching into the live road, scratching passing vehicles and forcing drivers to move position to avoid damage. This presents a road safety risk, particularly for larger vehicles and when two vehicles pass under the bridge.
As the vegetation is originating from motorway land, this appears to fall under National Highways’ responsibility. Please treat as a safety hazard requiring urgent cutting back. The road is a bus route aswell as a busy used road.
