Potholes and damage

I would like to formally report vehicle damage caused by a series of potholes on the northbound approach to Gonerby Moor Interchange, between the A1 and Great Gonerby.

The incident occurred at approximately 4:15 pm on Friday 27th February 2026. While travelling at approximately 40 mph, my vehicle struck a series of potholes. Upon hitting the second large pothole, there was a significant jolt and loud thud, after which the vehicle began pulling noticeably to the left.

I proceeded cautiously to Gonerby. Upon arrival, I discovered that my tyre was completely flat. The force of the impact was substantial and I am concerned there may also be further damage to the wheel alignment and suspension.

The stretch of road in question contained multiple significant potholes, presenting a clear hazard to vehicles travelling at normal road speeds.

Whether any prior reports had been made regarding these defects.

I am currently arranging inspection and repair of the vehicle and will provide supporting documentation, photographs, and invoices as required.
