Road surface removed

Reported via desktop in the Road surface (NH) category anonymously at 09:27, Friday 27 February 2026

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9009348.

Overnight a section of tarmac has been removed across the entire road, leaving a deep ditch. There is no signage to show this has happened and when I went through this morning at 0450 there was no lighting. I am amazed my tyres didn't blow out when I hit this ditch. If I have any tyre or suspension issues, I will be sending the bill through. This is incredibly dangerous.
