Blocked drains

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8964228.

There are two blocked drains within the immediate vicinity of ny house. One is very close to the bus shelter close to the Arundel Park Hotel and is so badly blocked that it probably requires drilling. It has been in this condition for years. The other drain is very close to my house and floods during heavy rain, likewise it has been blocked for a long tim e. The result is that carriageway flooding occurs and heavy vehicles that drive through it drenches any pedestrian walking to and from Arundel station and covers the cars on my drive. The water has even drenched my windows, and me if I am getting bags out if the boot of my car.

    Our inspection team have attended this location to assess the defect and identified this gully is completely compacted with mud and detritus. Remedial work has been raised with our maintenance partners to address the issue as soon as it’s possible.

    Work is expected to be completed within the next 28 working days.
