Lamp 39 still not fixed

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8957595.

The failure of this lamp was reported on 8/1/26 and remains not working. There are many lamps along the busy A259 through Bexhill and despite repeated reports nothing is being done to improve the situation. In excess of 30 lamps along this stretch of road are not working leaving patches of darkness often near junctions and even traffic lights and roundabouts. NOT GOOD ENOUGH! I use the road frequently and have not seen a team working on street lights all winter.

    We are due to undertake surveys on the A259 to identify all of the non working streetlights on the A259.

    Once this survey is complete we will then begin to order the necessary parts and complete the repairs. These repairs will be done as part of our LED scheme.

    We will not only be repairing these lights but will also be undertaking upgraded to all of the lights replacing them with more effective LED ones.
