A much gentler slope needed up to bridge expansion joint

Reported via mobile in the Road surface (NH) category anonymously at 19:51, Tuesday 17 February 2026

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8942923.

The ramp up to this expansion joint is far too high and it's like hitting a high speed bump. It's quite a shock and could cause an accident. Looking at other bridges around this area, the run up to their joints is much more gradual and adding a more gentle slope would be a great improvement. This is not a duplicate report, this problem is on both sides of the bridge.
