Hello I need to report a dangerous carriageway defect.
It is on the A42 southbound at Junction 11 Appleby Magna. The location is the exit slip road leaving the A42 toward the A444 for Magna Park.
There are multiple deep potholes in the wheel tracks on the slip road before the roundabout where vehicles are braking from high speed. I was forced to perform an emergency stop on my motorcycle to avoid them and nearly lost control.
An approximate depth of 18 inches to two feet, between 10 to 15 feet long, nearly the entire width of the lane.
Please log this as an urgent safety defect.
